“We’re very old, so technology is really kind of different to us... The last thing I looked up was recipes to cook because I love to cook. My wife bought me a tablet and she bought me the case around it. So I leaned it up like that, you know, and I’ll do recipes and stuff like that.”
Tim Descrisio is also retired and lives on a fixed income. He’s a handyman at heart and is sitting on the new porch he built himself, part of a home he has been remodeling since he purchased the foreclosed building during the Great Recession. He couldn’t afford the $200 a month bundled cable/internet package that his provider was offering so he stopped using it. Now, he’s connected again, thanks to EII. His wife bought him a computer tablet recently, and he loves propping it on the kitchen table to follow new recipes when he’s cooking for her.
