Be intentional to talk MORE about community issues, strengths, and assets with others who you know are engaged in the day-to-day struggles and will be involved to help overcome them. Be intentional to talk LESS about community issues with others who are not going to be involved in the problems or the solutions. This is where toxic dialogue begins.

This is my absolute favorite part. As somebody who does community building work both on the internet and in real life–this is the *biggest* problem with people on the internet–is that everybody has an opinion, but they have no *stake* in solving the problems or coming up with solutions for *geographical* community–and all the while, the discussions online become toxic for people *offline*.

I went to carey elementary from 72 to 74 then mcmillan elementary 75 to 78. hunter junior high then sothwestern high graduated in 84. anyone from those years around?
